Difference between hard hats and safety helmets

There is a big difference between hard hats and safety helmets, mainly in terms of the different protection ranges. Hard hats mainly protect the top of the head, generally for damage caused by falling objects from high altitudes. Helmets have protection functions for the top, front, and sides of the head. In contrast, the impact surface and buffering force that hard hats can withstand are much smaller than those of helmets. Therefore, wearing hard hats cannot replace the protective effect of safety helmets.
